Today, I had the privilege and the joy and the honor to attend the New Jersey Go Red for Women annual luncheon and awards presentation. I have recently started to work with this group of dynamic women and I was truly overwhelmed at what I felt and saw!

There is a direct correlation between what you notice about yourself and what is going on around you in your world and how you use your own power as a woman. Did you notice when you first became a Mom for instance that if you were vigilant about covering the outlets in your home, protecting the little heads from the sharp corners of furniture, turning the handles of the pots and pans into the middle of your stove top and those types of precautionary things that as you observed your child, you could actually "catch" that little one "testing" you and looking at you to see if you "see me doing something that I shouldn't be doing?"?

Today is Mother's Day.
Did you know that the United States Post Office delivers more Mother's Days cards than any other day of the year?
That must mean something!
Today, I am asking you to put aside any malice, hurt, or other negative feelings that you have about any of the "Mothers" you may have had in your life and just give her the gift of "thank you" or "I'm thinking of you today" that she deserves. No mom is 100% perfect. Believe me she knows.
