"Technoisolation"© – what do you think this is? This morning on the early morning entertainment (not news) programs, there was a puff piece on "addiction to face-book et al". That is one of the components to all of this technology and how it becomes our entire W-O-R-L-D. We each have become so "dependent" on the technology to stay in the loop, stay connected, stay informed, being busy bodies that we have forgotten how to have one to one relationships.

We all remember the blue faced Mel Gibson in Braveheart, when he raised that huge sword and shouted: "FREEDOM!" His conviction was evident and I was ready to pick up my sword and fight for their freedom too. Who is fighting for your "Freedom"? If you are the member of a military family, and one of your own is out there on the battle field, you already are all too aware of who it is. I appalled you, your families sacrifices, and the service to me, our country and to all of those that are impacted by his or her presence abroad. I was raised in one of these families and traveled extensively as a child right up until adulthood, so I do know what this looks like, sounds like and feels like.

"Do It Now!" is the battle cry for all of the advertisements that we see and hear in the world today. This message is the loud scream we hear in the written word we now use to communicate through texting and email. There is an implied undertone, that if you do not do this "thing" right this moment something terrible will happen to you. What do you do when you are prompted?
